Renaissance basset recorder

Renaissance basset recorder

from the Museo internazionale e biblioteca della musica di Bologna

This is the head of the renaissance basset recorder which illustrates the front cover of the Windkanal-issue 2004-4. The instrument is marked with the sign!!
The instrument has a colourful and voluminous sound. The block does not appear to be original, its original fontanella has been lost, and its key was not in working order at the time of playing.
